How many democrat senators and congressman own stock in electric vehicle companies? Why do you think they are pushing the electric vehicle?

Wake up America!

This is an argument that anti environmentalists have been putting forward for some time. The ideas that the environmental movement is purely self-interested. Now, some of these people may own stock and some of these companies. But this idea is, in general, pretty nonsensical. If you wanted to make money the best way to do so would be to invest in already profitable companies rather than trying to fight an uphill, multi decade-long, battle to try and make a niche technology like electric cars somehow massively profitable. The reality is actually the precise opposite of what you claim. In reality the anti environmental movement is motivated largely by profit values. The people who really have something to gain or lose here are the oil industry. If people take climate change seriously then the oil industry is essentially done for. They've got tremendous amounts of money invested in this industry and they don't want to lose it. So they're going to do and say whatever they can, including lying to people and buying off politicians, in order to keep their industry viable. The reason why the Republican politicians are so opposed to environmental regulation is because they've been bought and paid for by polluters.

Probably not as many as Republicans who own stock in Big oil.
Why do you think they're pushing a global warming hoax.

Why would any politician not be promoting electric vehicles? It's 2021, not 1951. We could promote the steam train if you like.

And I'm sure you can provide a list of all that do,,,, correct.

And while we're at it,,, how many Republican politicians do you think own stock in fossil fuel companies and why do you think they do everything they can to kill any initiatives to develop renewable fuel sources even though everyone knows renewables are the future and the U.S. is falling way, way behind the rest of the world in a technology we should be at the forefront of,,,,

Wake up Matt.
