GOP former House Speaker John Boehner rips Donald Trump a new one over & over in his new book. Is the much beloved Boehner suddenly a RINO?

John Boehner, the Republican former House speaker, issues a stinging denunciation of Trump in his new book, saying that the former president “incited that bloody insurrection” by his supporters at the Capitol on Jan. 6 and that the Republican Party has been taken over by “whack job insurrectionists.”

In the book, an excerpt from which was obtained by The New York Times, Mr. Boehner writes that Mr. Trump’s “refusal to accept the result of the election not only cost Republicans the Senate but led to mob violence,” adding, “It was painful to watch.”

At another point, he writes, “I’ll admit I wasn’t prepared for what came after the election — Trump refusing to accept the results and stoking the flames of conspiracy that turned into violence in the seat of our democracy, the building over which I once presided.”

Mr. Trump, he goes on, “incited that bloody insurrection for nothing more than selfish reasons, perpetuated by the bullshit he’d been shoveling since he lost a fair election the previous November.” Mr. Boehner writes, “He claimed voter fraud without any evidence, and repeated those claims, taking advantage of the trust placed in him by his supporters and ultimately betraying that trust.”

Of members of the House and the Senate who supported Mr. Trump’s efforts to overturn the election results, Mr. Boehner writes: “Some of the people involved did not surprise me in the least. The legislative terrorism that I’d witnessed as speaker had now encouraged actual terrorism.”

@graphicconception you know full well it wasn't down to just that one speech.  even Boeher's quotes that I've pasted here make that clear.

Unlike traitor Trump and his Republican horde, John Boehner has shown himself an American patriot making the effort to enlighten those deceived by conman Donald J. Trump.

I hate to inform people of this, but Boehner wasn't beloved even by those that voted for him.  He is definitely establishment and most are glad the whiny manchild is gone.

I still find it difficult to believe that a speech that finished about an hour and a half after the "insurrection" started could have caused the insurrection. Time Machines R Us!

Particularly so as the planning for said insurrection was known about days prior to the speech because both the FBI and the Capitol Police knew. The question has to be why did they not increase Capitol security when they found out about the plot?

It makes you ask, who is in control of the Capitol Police and what did they tell the police to do?

Another anti Trump book, written to shock and tell all, to increase sales of said book, that the media and the left will now use as gospel. Will claim all written is true.

John Boohoo was never "much beloved" by anyone outside of DC. Miserable, conceited old drunk. He hated conservatives, and we hate him right back.
