More than practice, you need realistic practice. I would play games against myself. What that means is that, while by myself, I would rack and break just like normal. Then play a game against yourself, alternating taking shots as stripes until a miss, then as solids until a miss. It really, really helps to have a pool table in the house. I can now walk into any bar in town and win games for hours.
