Any recommendations for a good Riesling?

    Dry or sweet? The Columbia Valley in Washington State has some of the best in the US. German Rieslings are the main act on the world stage.

    The number one thing to remember: Don't pay too much!!!! $15 is more than enough for a very good bottle of Riesling. This grape grows almost anywhere and it doesn't have much inconsistency. Johannesburg and Late Harvest are very sweet wines. Almost in the dessert category.

    chateau ste. michelle and J. lohr are both good and affordable
