Do you believe in God or not? If so why and if not why?
I believe in God because how can you not believe in God if you look at the world around you? Just think about it. The human eye itself. Think about how it adjusts to light and darkness. I think if there wasn't a God and the world just came out of no where it would be really messed up. Also, what about the air we breath? Think about the amount of oxygen in it? We wouldn't be able to live if there was a little too much or not enough oxygen in the air. Also, the ozone layer? Think about it. Ozone is poison to humans and so we would not be able to live either if the ozone from the ozone layer was down here where we breath, but it is up there where it protects us from the sun's altraviolet rays. Just think if the ozone wasn't exactly where it was we would be in big trouble. There are also several other things that have to be exactly right in order for us to live. That's why there has to be a God. Now that I told you why I believe in God, I want to hear what you believe about God.

Of course I am a believer and I pray for those here who aren't, that somehow some TRUTH and LIGHT will find a way into their lives. Reasons I believe in God are too numerous to list. A few are that my life was pretty horrible growing up and HE never left me or forgot me, carried me the whole way through. I saw my three children born and could never believe for one minute that I didn't witness at least 3 Miracles! Have overcome so much in my life and could only attribute it to my Maker, knowing through my faith that He has been there all along. I feel His presence daily and can't wait for His Kingdom in Heaven. God Bless all who read and answer on this forum.

Horray for eveolution, and probably life on other planets that sprung up the way it did on ours!
I think Christians get it wrong when they look to nature to seek justification of having a god. God didn't want you all to look at a tree and think "wow, what a great tree, thanks god!" He wanted you to look at the tree as if it were nothing at all and live your life waiting for the perfection of heaven and the afterlife. He gave us dominion over the world, I don't see why people justify their belief by saying that it's so much better than anyone could have expected.
I don't believe in god because this world is a cosmic coincidence. Things are the way they are because we evolved from single cell amoebas and the like. I believe that logic leads us away from god and towards morals, yet most of us feel the need to justify them through a supreme being, and attribute our laws to a religious text when those morals are innate within most of us. I don't believe in god because I don't think a benevolent creator would send the beings he created to hell, no matter what the reason. I don't believe in god because I hae a gut feeling that there really isn't anything special out there.

I believe in God. But I've never asked the question why or why not. I really don't know why I believe. But I'm sure glad I do! Whenever I read the Bible, I feel so alive! So hopeful! So real! I just can't explain it!!! Our God is Truely an Awesome God!!
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

I don't believe in god. I believe in the Goddess. How can you even believe in a god when history has proven that man has taken over every Pagan holiday to make it into a christian holiday. I believe in Nature and I am in awe every day that I wake up and see the sun and moon. There is a female presence to it. Science has proven all the things you are questioning.
