how come if a woman wants an abortion its HER choice,but if she has the baby the guy must pay child support?

I think it's because if a man has unprotected sex with you, he is giving you his sperm, and that is a conscious act. If he doesn't want to have to pay you child support if that sperm happens to find an egg, then he should not give you his sperm. If he has a problem with what you may do after the fact, there are many methods out there to prevent him from giving you his sperm, and those are obvious to everyone. So, in other words, a man does have the ultimate choice, to inseminate you or not. If he chooses to not cover his stump, then he did make the choice, did he not?

Well lets see, the guy had his fun and had himself some sex. The pregnant woman will then have to throw up for 4 months straight, feel ill for 9 months, in order to have the end result of the most excruciating pain imaginable. For the entirety of those 9 months the guy is going to be living his life exactly the same way as he had before. So a) if she does go through all that time and effort, he better be prepared to at least help her out financially, otherwise it just doesn't seem fair that she carry all the burden from their encounter. and b) it's HER choice, because its HER body. The guy is welcome to try and have a baby by other means, but until thats possible, the decisions of what to do with her body belong to the woman.

great point ... I feel the abortion should be approved by the father as well ... trouble is, and I'm not speaking of every situation ... but in some cases, the woman may want an abortion simply because she was promiscuos (check that spelling) ... or "whoring around" and doesn't know who the father is in the first place. It's a sad situation all the way around.

I don't know; how about -- how come it is up to a woman to decide whther to agree to have sex, but if she gets pregnant the man still has responsibities to live up to? How come a man can decide whether to run out on his family but if he does the woman has to live with the consequences? How come if you decide to use a gun to rob a store, it is up to the clerk to decide whther to resist but if he does and you have to shoot him, you get sentenced ofr murder not him?

A man, like anyone else, has to pay for the consequences of his actions including having a child. That doesn't mean he can force a woman to have an abortion if he doesn't want to pay. He can always discuss the issue prior to having sex if wants to only have sex with a woman who will abort. Or he can use reliable birth control.

im a guy and i think its better that way why would probably be because its difficult raising a child with one source of income. unless you make a large amount of money. but the woman always has the option of turning down the child support and must do it in court. almost never happens but for good reason

men have sued women tring to stop an abortion. And child support has nothing to do with abortion at all. 2 completly seperate issues.

This is why we have condoms and foam and pills and shots and sponges..................etc etc the list of birth control goes on and on!

Bacause the government is stupid.
