Doc has no diagnosis... Do you have ideas?

Have you ever hear of the following symptoms? Diagnosis? etc

A 1-week illness in 3 distinct phases: a couple days of lower GI distress; a couple of days of flu-like body aches & pains, a few days of discombobulating headache (migraine?)

The doctor doesn't think its the flu? Your symptoms resemble flu symptoms and bad cases of the flu can last a week or 2. Did the doc appear to be completely confused by your symptoms or did he/she want you to wait it out and see if its the flu? Its true that other illnesses can have flu-like symptoms and be mistaken for the flu, so if you have reason to suspect that its not simply the flu, you may want to make an appointment with another doctor and het another opinion. While your waiting for your appointment you can see if you start feeling better. If things get worse or you start running a fever, get into urgent care and get an antibiotic.

It may be Lymes Disease. Get a blood test. My daugther had it, and after the symptoms subside, it stays in your spinal column, and can lead to cripping arthritis. She was on a specific antibodic for 22 days.
