I just use Microsoft Office. It's not the bells and whistles in a software program that make a novelist.
Sometimes people spend lots of time and money getting used to a new program that really doesn't help them do anything but procrastinate.
Companies spend $$$ trying to convince you that you really NEED something different to write a novel, but using what you're familiar with works the best.
And don't forget to make back-ups... emailing your daily work to yourself is a great way to do it... that way, if your computer crashes, the emails are still on the server.

Paper and pen or pencil. It's worked for thousands of years. I mean, did Twain have a computer?

I like Final Draft--but it's really more for screenplays--though they have other options...
