Flipped Collars? Double Flipped Collars? To be or NOT to be.?
Everybody's seen it......or done it. What's the deal with the Tom Cruise-esque collar flip otherwise known as the "cool collar". Now there are kids wearing double cools. That's right, 1 polo flipped isn't enough. They have to wear 2 polo shirts and flip the collars, sometimes under a blazer which also has the collar flipped. Isn't this just an ego excuse? What's the deal. Is it actually cool? Will it just die already? Isn't it UNCOMFORTABLE?

I totally agree with you. To me, a flipped or popped collar says one of two things: "I'm a 16-year-old desperately trying to be cool!" or "I'm trying to be cool be imitating a desperate 16-year-old, thus showing the world how out of touch I am!"
I really hope this trend goes away soon. It just looks silly and cocky.
