Is God cruel enough to send a deliverer in current time?

He has sent deliverers in past when comminications were very very limited. Why does He not send someone in the current time? Does He have any plan to send someone?

Update:

To wlvrne1964: Sorry if I offend Christian, I did not have any intension. The question is open for all religion.

    1. God is not cruel.

    2. He promised that Jesus would return. The Bible says that only God knows the day and the hour, but we can watch for the signs. The signs are outlined in the book of Revelations, and there are churches that stay fixated on the signs of the end times. I think it is a good thing to look at, since we were told to watch for them, but it is clear that we won't be able to predict when it will actually happen.

I thought about that this morning. It's almost as if every person who added something wonderful to the American culture(and the world), are on their way outta here. So, what's next? That's what we both want to know. I'm just going to keep thinking that Jesus is coming back, and soon. I think this world can only take so much, that all the negativity will build, build, and build up, that eventually something big will happen. Then again, that's just all my opinion, and hopes.

First of all, God is not cruel and He WILL send His Son when HE decides, not when you think it will happen (Jesus says that He will come like a theif in the night, no one but the Father knows the time).

Second, you ask this question like you are afraid of it. Why? I live in "Joyfull anticipation of the return of Jesus Christ" (paraphrased and borrowed from the Catholic Mass).

Sorry, Liebe, and I'll take your admonishment. I've amended this post so it's not so hostile.

The New Testament teaches us that Jesus will be our final deliverer. When that will be, we're taught that no one here on Earth knows.
