Hello Nora,
Sorry about your being scammed, it's happened to me and quite a few other people on the net and I know how frustrating it can be trying to get help. May I suggest the link below which I got directly from Yahoo. If that does not solve your problem (be patient, they get tons of complaints all day long) then you have to decide is it worth it dollar & time wise to continue to pursue it legally. In most cases it's probably better to chalk it up as a learning experience and go on. That's something only you can decide. Good luck.

Yahoo protects its user privacy, I don't think it will give away its user real identity even if you ask. But please report the scam to Yahoo anyway. If Yahoo has a strong belief that its user is scamming, it may suspend the account.

You would probably have to file a criminal complaint against whoever this is and see if law enforcement was willing to investigate it. I don't think Yahoo! will just give up information like that without more than you saying they ripped you off and you want to know.

If an actual crime was committed you can get lots of help through your district attorney...if they file charges. Other than that, youre probably at the mercy of Yahoo and they are not likely to help. Again, you have to ask yourself...was there an actual crime?
