I recommend to add vinegar into the water. It softens the water and makes dishes and glass as well as crystal very shiny. Bleach might work, but it is not the most environment friendly product to use. Try vinegar. I swear it works!!!

If the hard water spots came from boiling water in a glass container in the microwave, for example, you can boil water with white vinegar in it or boil water with a twig of rosemary in it. If they are the result of the drying after dish washing, you can use a rinse liquid in the dishwasher or after hand washing (then rinse again), or use a dishwashing detergent like Cascade Complete, which already has a rinsing agent in it.

use some thing like "lime away" or "the works" tub and tile cleaner. just put some on a damp soft cloth and wipe the spots off. be sure to wear rubber gloves and wash the glasses after with reg dish soap. rinse well and that should do it.

Source(s): i've done this myself as we live in a very hard water area.
