Can someone explain why there is such a delay on removing questions that have been reported?

I've seen a few really sick questions, reported them, and when I check back a day later, they're often still up there. Is the Answers team getting pickier about the questions they'll remove, or are they just overworked?

I think they are overworked, weekends are the times when SO many kids get on here to see if they can get a sex education, or just be a pain in the backside by putting up really offensive questions, so, there are many of us reporting these and I bet after the 10 I just sent them, and everyone elses 10 -20, they are overwhelmed with it all.

Be patient, they are working on it.

actually I think they are overworked bless their hearts! We still have a huge number of strange questions even with the two points deducted for asking. I'm sure they will try to get to each and every abuse issue that they are presented with. We just have to meanwhile be patient. :)

It appears that this operation is run by maybe one person, or they might have one or two helping. There are tons of questions that go here, and it is a lot to screen. They also have to maintain the website, update it, and remember, this is still in the experimental phase.

  • Well there is a reason, don't be so cruel to the Yahoo IT.

It depends on if the sharp it guy is working or the guy that likes to bounce the server to plug in his coffee pot..
