Having the right to vote but not having the right to choose who you want to vote for is that really a right?

When were the voters given the opportunity to nominate who runs for office? Without being able to nominate the ones who will run your not voting for who you really might want to vote for. In other words we have the right to vote for who congress wants for office.

    If you never voted in the primary elections, you have no right to complain about the candidate that is chosen to represent your political party.

    WE pick candidates in the primaries witch is fine the problem is that a lot of cndidates for office i.e. such as county judges and the like run un opposed so they automaticaly win re-election.

    Even if your candidate doesn't get nominated, you can always do a write-in vote.

    If you want more say in nominating a candidate, you should get involved in your political party.

    We do vote on what candidates we want to run. Its called a Primary.
