Cute little white belts: when did they become popular?
Lots of women and girls wear white belts made of leather or cotton nowadays, often with jeans. I can't find anything on the internet about when they became popular, and who popularized them. Seems like they've bcome popular in the last 3-6 years. Anyone know the background info?

It's pretty much a surfer/hollister thing that started being big when Hollister started up... I even bought a guy's white leather belt a month ago.
