A&E documentary on skinhead movement?

I watched this documentary last night, its new. It made me sick. Is racism really that horrible in the south.I mean I know it exists everywhere but im wondering if it is a REAL threat to the wellbeing of minorities or is the movement all talk?

I watched a little bit of it last night. From what I saw, Bill Riccio was usually surrounded by no more than eight people (kids, really) at any given time. He refers to them as "troops," but they are hardly an army. They are just desperate, lonely kids who would (in my opinion) latch on to the first person to come along and treat them decently.

If they had been recruited by The LDS, they'd be singing in the Mormon Tabernacle choir. If they'd been recruited by Krishna consciousness, they'd be selling flowers in airports.

Riccio also alienates many people who would otherwise agree with him when he does things like burning and spitting on the American flag. Plenty of good 'ol boys who hate black people would like to knock out Riccio's teeth for doing such a thing.

I don't think that racist skinheads are a huge threat. I realize that this is of little solace to a bi-racial couple who finds themselves at the hands of these thugs, but in a larger sense, I feel that they present little or no danger to our society as a whole.

The real problem with racism is the type that is practiced quietly every day by otherwise "normal" people. A guy with a swastika tattooed on his cheek is easy to single out as someone to be avoided. A guy who owns a car dealership and gouges only black people is a real problem.
