Were you suprised by American Idol tonight?

I was kinda surprised that Becky went...I'm pretty sure she was there b/c they thought she was nice to look at...but she wasn't that nice to listen to. I figured they would keep her around just to look at her for a bit longer. I was also a little surprised by Patrick...I thought one of the younger dark haired boys would go.

I was mainly dissapointed in the female performances overall. The guys who got cut, could actually sing, despite their need for charisma or a "dog pound".

Song choices have been mixed. Few are showing true professional performance skills yet. Who is coaching them along, that's what I'd like to know. And it has been nearly 7 months since their first auditions. We've had 5 years with "Simon Says", you'd think each contestant would have done their homework, before auditioning.

However, there is talent here, not just pretty faces with empty vaces. Next week will be much different for the woman.

Becky(the model) and Stevie(the sweet southern girl) were both cut tonight, from the womans top 12.

Bobby(Manilow) and Patrick Hall were ixnayed.

Kaneek, Brenna and Heather were poised to go(in the lowest vote counts just above the early departed).

Sway and Bucky were rubbin' the Budha to just make it thru...whew!

Did you catch that opening song with all 24 singers...pretty kewl...the best performance of the 2006 season.

I am intrigued by many people who expect (the grey haired guy), Taylor Hicks to win.

Despite Simons opinions of him presently.

He has alot of charisma, he can sing and apparently he already has a cd out, according to a friend of mine on answers....hmmmm. I know he plays the (blues harp)aka harmonica pretty good to.

How old is Taylor? Does it even matter?

no, not at all-i knew they were going to go but it was just a matter of when.
