Is it shallow to not accept anything other than the best when it comes to dating?

My ex girlfriend was awesome. I still love her to death and now consider her my best friend. Before we started dating I didn't really care who I dated but ever since we broke up I've raised my standards a lot and, as a result, have become very picky in my dating life. Does anybody see anything wrong with this?

Define the best and I bet you come up with something shallow like, looking for a modal or actress. The best might not look the best but is loyal and true.

is it shallow or not, depends on what you expecting to be the best, is it the person that u r looking or the figure u want

That's not shallow, that's just plain stupid. No one is perfect, so you wont find anyone

As if you're "all that?" If you were Brad Pitt maybe you could ask that question, but face it, dude, you're not.
