Mazda Owners: How do you like your Mazda? Would you buy it again if you could go back and do it over?

I'm thinking of buying a small SUV sometime this year, and the new CX-7 looks pretty sweet. http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/displayPage.action...

I've always driven Volkswagens, so I'm a little nervous to buy a different make, even though I really like ALL Mazda's new models. Still, I don't really know anyone who has a Mazda, so I want to know more:

What has your experience with Mazda been? How long ago did you buy your Mazda? What model/year do you have? Was it New or Used? About how many miles have you put on the car? Do you still like/love it? Do you feel it's reliable and safe and fun and economical? Would you buy that car again if you could go back in time? Would you consider another Mazda for future purchases?

Thanks in advance to those who offer their help!

Yes, I leased a 2005 Mazda3 hatchback last summer, which uses the same 2.3L engine as the CX-7, sans turbocharger. It's been great, and a lot of fun to drive. It was the best car I test drove in the price range, and I would definitely choose the Mazda3 if I had to do it over again. I've driven it 10,000 miles, and am seriously considering buying it when the lease runs out.

Mazda makes a great car i've had 4 of them ( '93 626, '97 626, '03 6i, and one i bought used a '94 mx-3, the only thing i don't like about them is the front wheel brake dust. Great cars, very dependable. The Michelin tires that came with the 6i were crappy,

I replaced them with Yokahoma Avid TRZ's and all is great. I would not be afraid to buy a used Mazda with over 100k miles.

Before you buy a Mazda, MAKE SURE that it is front wheel drive. I remember my family had to drive to a funeral in the snow and it was a horrible experience. Beautiful car, dangerous flaw.

YES!! love that car, yea absoluty if i could buy it again i would with out giving it any thought, it was a used car when i bought it it's a 90 626lx, it's got almost 200,000 miles on it, very durable, my b/f wrecked it last winter, he hit a guard rail and it did hardly any damage to it. this year he hit a deer with it (nothing) of course being an older car ti can take the damage
