You can network two machines via a RJ-45 to RJ-45 cable (crossover).
However USB networking is not functional yet.

No, you need a network connection through an external or wireless inroute router/wiring. To do so, use something like: D-Link, Netgear, Linksys. You can't connected networked by a male-to-male usb cable.

male-male i belive that is only use for data tranfer not networked, there are softwares that come with the cable for that purpose. but here is something interesting i found http://www.dvd-supply.com/usb20neca.html Advanced Networking/Resource Sharing check it out.
