" Many testing techniques interacting with web servers such as XSS rely on ensuring authentication obtained on a target be kept active. A mechanism for registering and maintaining open authentications identified during a test for the duration of the console session may provide an additional utility to enable more modules to target techniques that need valid authentication to be maintained. One such authentication token would be data retained in a cookie for a web service. This project would lay the groundwork for registering gathered or generated authentication tokens against a target to be refreshed and sustained until a console exits, or in some cases across console restarts. Hmmmm one wonders at why a person with no computer experience would be reading this, but let's try to dumb it down a bit....This may be too dumbed down for accuracy, but it's what you asked for.
When testing in a web environment, it's important to have a constant and open Log in. it's also a good idea to have the log-in persist during testing so that other modules can be tested. One way to do this is by using a cookie. The project would conceivably register any/all of these cookies for use and remain active until the system resets.
That's about as basic as i can make it, and it's still wildly off.
