The picture on my tv is horrible. What else can I try to fix it?

I have one connection on my tv and I have dish and an antenna that need to be attached. I have this box that goes from the tv and has three connections that you can use. Since I connected this box there are lines running across the picture and it is horrible. What else can I use to connect this or fix this?

Update:

No its not the cable. If I plug it directly to the tv it is fine. To have both my dish and antenna connected to the tv I have to use this box. When the box was hooked up the picture is all liney. I just want to know if there is some better way to hook this up.

Update 2:

Nope...there is only one input on my tv. It is only 3 years old.

It's probably the box not having enough isolation between the two inputs. Most satellite receivers have an input for an outdoor antenna, just hook your antenna there. If yours does not you could use a good quality A B switch like many cable companies use when their system comes into a home on two cables.

If it's a newer TV then you should have more than one coaxial input....thus not needing the A/B switch. Just put satelite on input 1 for example and local antenna channels on input 2.

Go to radio shack buy a 50ft line of cable run the line from the satillite to your box, from the box to your tv.

Or try to check the connection on another tv and see if it happens there also but it sounds like your cables are shot!
