Where's the thanks?
If you helped someone and they showed no gratitude, not even a "thank you", whould you be reluctant to help next time?

Even though it nice to hear and it makes us feel better, we should not help someone out just to hear "Thank You". We should just do it and know that we help another being on this planet along.

Depends on the application. If it was a casual favor, well, manners aren't what they used to be and, unfortunately, that includes an office situation.
However, if it was a big something, like helping someone move or helping on a project, I would put them down to being a mannerless boor at best, a user at worst, and be too busy to help the next time they need to be bailed out.

sure I would feel bad for not gettin a thank u but I woulkd not turn my back right away.. it depends on the situation and of course to the person.. if it's a close friend then it would be OK but if someone not so close I would first wait and see or think again cuz maybe he could have a lot in his mind or so.. but if the stranger does not say thnx the next time then it is time to stop doin favors to him/her:)

yeah, iwould feel hurt, iwould be reluctant to help the person again but i would also survey the situation, maybe the person just forgot or is preoccupioed. to me saying thank you is important, ive taught my 4yr old and 3yr old to says thanks since they were 1,2,yrs old,and know, they almost always do. its the polite way.
