Why don't the locks on my '03 Honda Civic 4 door, work properly?

I am having trouble with the door locks, they make a grinding or squeaking noise sometimes when when I lock them.

I have also noticed then when I open the driver door and try to use the automatic unlock on the door (to unlock passenger doors) The locks unlock for a second and then lock again.

I have taken this to the dealership twice for this problem, they reset the locks or something but I am still having this problem.

Does anyone else have this problem or know how I can get the dealership to actually fix it before my warranty runs out.

Update:

Well, they seem to work most of the time except in that one instance with the door open, I am thinking is has something to do with that dumb "feature" where you have to hold the door handle to lock the doors.

And no I have never taken the door apart, or even had speakers installed. I did have keyless entry added at the dealership back when I first got the car.

I am betting that some dirt/debris has gotten into the space around the locking mechanism (maybe inside the door), and is preventing the locks form opening/closing all the way. Hav eyou had the door panel off for any reason...like maybe changing stereo speakers? Good Luck
