i think every girl goes through that when your pregnant its normal i know i did. i watched baby storey all the time and got really nervouse. you can try calling your doctor and finding out about lamaze classes they might be able to help you so you know what to exspect during labor or see if you can tour the hospital so you can see where your gonna give birth that might help out a little plus you can meet other pregnant girls and talk to them i bet you there feeling the same as you it might help to.but just know you might be felling really scared now but wait untill you see your child for the first time its all worth it. and yeah labor hurts but theres epadural you can have so you dont feel the pain. but as soon as you have your child the pain stops.

First, relax and enjoy your tiem being pregnant. This is your first! Congratulations!

Dont always believe waht you see on t.v Now-a-days, labor and delivery isn't as bad as people make it out to be. The doctors and nurses are very good at giving you pain medicine to the point of almost feeling nothing. And besides, when it comes down to you giving birth to your first child, the last thing on your mind will be the pain. Trust me.

Talk to your doctor. There are classes you can take to prepare your self for labor and delivery. Read books as well

    Good luck!

i had that same feeling about it until i went to lamaze classes 1.5 months before my baby was due. those births and shows don't go into great detail. not all labors are the way that are shown on tv. every pregnant woman's labor is unique. i had no complications and had a easy labor. however it is painful but the medicine they use to help with the pain makes it easier. just prepare yourself for anything. good luck.

Lamaze curses helps a lot with this, but you are also able to ask your doctor for an Epidural anestesia, it will keep your body sleep from your waist to your toes and you wont feel a thing, if you want to enjoy 100% the delivery without any worries about the pain, the epidural is perfect for you, but you have to ask your doctor cause he must evaluate you before giving you this kind of anestesia. Congratulations for your new baby and good luck!

Source(s): P.S.: You can also talk to your doctor about the posibility of delivering in a waterpool, i can tell you is great, and it reduce the pain in 60% for those who doesnt like the idea of an epidural!

There is a book out there, very rare, but search until you find it...Natural Childbirth without Fear. Oh, what a grand book! It alleviated all of my fears about childbirth and told me what to expect at all the different stages of labor...

Even down to the end where all of a sudden you hear yourself giving up...I just can't do it! you wail...when you hit that point, you are almost done!

Quit watching those shows, Dear. They are only serving to make things worse for you than they need to be.

Did I mention? I had all four of my kids without painkillers. (That's because when I decided to get the stadol, the little baby heads were already out! Helped with the afterpains, though, lol!)

    You can do it, Mama!

it is going to hurt there is now way around that although the tv shows exagerate some. GET A EPADURAL!!!! it will really help ease the pain it will still hurt though i am not trying to scare you, but anyway. other people alot less tough than you have had babies, my mom for instance she can't handle pain, but she has made it through 4 kids. well good luck to you.

It's not painless, but honestly it's not as big a deal as it's made out to be. Take a prenatal class, learn about the options for pain relief/pain management. Enjoy your pregnancy and don't let anxiety over delivery ruin this special time.

Don't sweat it. When I was pregnant, I was terrified of the labor. Take my advice: GET AN EPIDURAL during labor. They are a godsend! It will kill the pain and make you feel warm and fuzzy. Epidural, epidural, epidural.

Just take it day by day. You can also read books about pregnancy and the show on lifetime is good too! Maternity Ward

you can't and your right it does hurt so just prepare for the worst and hopefully it won't be that bad. I had twins so it happened twice within 2 minutes for me and i was only 15
