If you're out in the country you could play a survivor type game.

Round 1 - Tug of war or a relay of some kind. Losing team votes one off. Voted off team members can participate by running challenges and casting deciding votes in tribal councils if there are any ties.

Round 2 - Birthday gal/guy trivia. Losing team votes one off.

Round 3 - Teams have to find the most pinecones or acorns or whatever in a specific time period.

Round 4 - Birthday guy/girl captions. Have one or more unusual pictures of the birthday person and have teams come up with the best captions. Losers from other challenges can vote on best caption. Losing team votes one off.

Round 5 - Obstacle course or three-legged race or amoeba race (all team member join elbows in a cirlce facing outward and race). Losing team votes one off.

Round 6 - Birthday limerick or song or rhyme. Teams write the best one they can and previous losers vote on best. Losing team votes one off.

Include some disgusting food challenges, building a fire challenges, etc.

Challenges are as fun to watch as they are to participate in.

I don't know how many guests you have, but continue doing challenges till there are two left. Then have everyone vote on the winner.
