Movie title please??

Meryl Streep, Cher- true story,I think it took place in Oklahoma, working in a plant. Meryl Streep is contaminated and gets cancer. She sues the company and in the end, she gets ran off the road and killed. I think it has wood in the title.

    The movie is Mike Nichols's "Silkwood." It also has Kurt Russell playing Meryl Streep's boyfriend. Cher is a lesbian and the great Meryl plays Karen Silkwood and it is indeed based on a true story.
