About Sony DVD Camcorders ...?

I heard that with DVD camcorders, I cant watch what I captured until the dvd be finalized and if I want to watch it, I can't record on that dvd anymore.

Is that true ?

And another question is that, If I have a rewritable dvd in my cam and I recorded some scenes on it, can I delete just some part of my video?!

Or I should wait until I finish my work with it and erase it completely?

An unfinalized DVD will not be able to play on other DVD players. On most DVD recorders, you should be able to playback unfinalized disc. Once you finalize the DVD, you will not be able to recorder further on the same disc. But the finalized DVD will be able to play on most compatible DVD players.

You can watch it on the recording device, in your case the camera. You can't put it in a DVD player and watch it until it is finalized. Once you finalize it you can't record on it.
