Do most people think that Texans are just cowboys, (stereotypically)?

Just wondering is all? Everytime I hear anyone say anything about Texas, there's usually some comment about cowboys. Don't get me wrong, I'm not from there, but don't have anything against anyone who is.

I would say stereotypically -- YES. But I can tell you I have lived in Texas for three years now. I am stationed at Fort Hood. You can't really hate Texas, the reason being their is nobody native to here anymore. So everyone here is from all over the world... not Texas! lol just so ya know.

    Go Yankees!

I don't think so. Even those that have never been to Texas know that Texans are are all millionaires from the oil fields!

    Dallas Cowboys.

    Houstan Texans

    San Antonio Spurs

    Dallas Mavericks

I guess it does but it's not my fault.

I wish all Texans were cowboys and cowgirls, then maybe my AP English class wouldn't be so damn hard... (my teacher is a Texan, and I like her enough, but her class is like impossible)

Villagers from TX seem more like cowboys, but people from metros like Houston don't always feel like cowboys.

Most people in the world are very bright. They know people like Willie Nelson comes from TX and people with mad cowboy disease like George Bush comes from TX too.

it's the first thing that jumps into my head honestly. i'm also big into hunting, so the second thing i think of is huge whitetails. i think texas will always be considered a cowboy paradise.
