Major dealerships that sell new cars as well as used cars buy better quality used cars. Those smaller dealerships at the side of the road "Bubba's Motors" sorts of places get the last pick of auto auctions because the cars are lower quality.

You might have to pay a little more to get a good quality used car, but it is the better way to go.

I always get a mechanic I trust to thoroughly look at my prospective purchase before buying any car.

dealer are all looking to make money to pay rent salaries advertising ect. if you don't want to buy that look in the paper find or online find a car from an individual and take it to a mechanic to have it checked out.
