Can 2 codependents be happy together?
Would they spend their whole lives trying to make the other mate happy and not enjoy what they are "receiving" from their mate?

it may sound logic the idea since they both would be giving and receiving (from the other partner) at the same time.
Intimacy is about that, giving and recieving in a mature relationship.
Codependents lack the attention and acceptance and therefore they engage in a continuous giving EXPECTING to receive, that is what makes them dependant; in a mature relationship people give without expecting in return, love flows their way naturally.
I imagine a 2 codependents relationship could would for a while. It would be to tense though, like being on a mine field... a wrong move could kill one of them (emotionally speakin)

Like any couple they would be happy sometimes, not all the time...happiness being just a transient emotion. It's fantasy to expect constant happiness. But I would guess that two co-dependents would be in their element - plenty of drama and unmet expectations. And although these things can be painful they are all too familiar and the bread and butter of a co-dependent's daily fare. Most of us prefer familiar pain to unknown alternatives. Also, many co-dependents are addicts/alcoholics like their partners. It is very possible to be both.

I think that eventually that will come up, and it will cause some type of problem. But if you wanna give it a shot, why not? You may find out something I don't know.

Suprisingly, yes. You see them all the time...you may not realize it, but you do.
