Golf or tennis since they are lifetime sports that don't require a team either. You can play those sports forever..no matter how old you get. Tennis will give you much more exercise though.

Or you could try an unusual-uncommon sport to say you play it and intrigue others like:

    Jai Alai

    Curling

    Polo

    Rugby

    Trick biking

    extreme motor cross

Play a sport that catches your attention the quickest. But also try something thats not to common.Baseball, basketball are common sports. But might i suggest playing "paintball"

paintball is both a rec sport and a competitive sport. its also known as war games. How its played: you and a team of paintball gun toting players aim to nuetralize the other team by hitting them with little balls of paint that explode on impact. this sport is available in tournaments. check out skirmish usa or search enter "nppl"

Tennis is great because you don't need many people to play and it isn't very costly at all.
