Is anyone on a low or no salt diet? What are some good recipes for this diet? Any suggestions?
All answers were good. I am going to call a vote for this one.

Try substituting Potassium salt for the regular Mortons Sodium salt. It is sold at most grocery stores in a light blue shaker normally next to the dark blue.
Also, try flavoring with salsa's for spiciness, citrus for the zing, and all other spices. I've gotten used to using mustards for flavoring as a little bit isn't noticed but the zing is.
For meats, season with a bit of vinegar as this will tang it up and also tenderize it.
Have fun experimenting...there's more to life than salt!

Someone mentioned Morton Salt Substitute being in a light blue shaker; my shaker of it is dark blue. I seem to remember them making a "lite" salt (half table salt, half salt substitute) that comes in a light blue shaker, but I could be wrong. In any case, Morton makes a Seasoned Salt Substitute in a brown/tan shaker which I like better. Also, I recommend trying Mrs. Dash Table Blend (better than the Original Blend, IMO).

I don't have any specific recipes, but I use McCormick's Salt Free All Purpose spice mix and Salt Free Garlic and Herb spice mix. They're both good on just about anything. I make jasmine rice with olive oil and garlic and herb, very tastey.

Read every label of every type of seasoning that you use. Also watch out for anything that has Frutose in it!
