How do I work outside my home and keep house clean?
Only one living here with me is my husband and 2 cats. My husband works days and I work afternoons and some nights.
I am 47 years old. I work as a janitor for the schools. I try to be in church as much as I can be. I sing in choir, involved in Ladies Ministry, and prayer group.

Set aside 20 minutes a day to pick things up or wipe stuff down. Have a specific time every day, you'll be more likely to follow. Once a week (on your day off) set aside an hour (with the hubbie helping) to be devoted to cleaning. Will you want to eat off the floors? Probably not. Will it keep you from being overwhelmed? Hopefully.

You don't give enough detail. Do you have children? How many and how old? Are you married or have someone living with you? Do you work full time? You answered the question of children, husband, etc.
I don't know why this is so hard for you. You do the bulk of your housework on the week ends. Change sheets, do floors, scrub bathroom, and do laundry. Then on week days, run the vacuum as needed, and just pick up. Keep the kitchen clean, that's about it. What is so difficult about that????

You must be either extremely organized or extremely strict about who does what, and when it must be done. Of course, it helps if you have another adult who does not work on your same schedule. Any children in the home must also have chores for which they are responsible. GOOD LUCK!
