Searching for A.J and Susan Hatfield from Mississippi.?

Well, since you don't give a time frame, it's hard to say, but the 1880 census lists an A.J. and Susan Hatfield in Mississippi Co., Arkansas, with children Stonewall, Jerry Lee, Maude, and May. A.J. and Susan are both listed as being born in MS.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a Native American relationship, whether you mean marriage with a Native American or just friends with a Native American family. If you mean the latter, that can be very hard to determine, but you might be able to find clues in the places they lived - whether it was probable or not.

If you mean intermarriage, and the family was alive in the early 1900s, you might want to check the Guion Miller Rolls to see if they applied for Cherokee citizenship.
