i really want to get started on blogging, but i dont know what to blog about. what kind of topics do you people usually blog about?

Think of a Blog as a 'Diary'. You can blog about anything that makes your little heart content. If you need to see some examples, just go to: http://www.blogger.com/start and you will see a link to a current blog .. as well as a link to see other random blogs.
Bottom line .. you can talk about anything in your blog.
