I am assuming you are talking about 'The Saddle Club', also one of my favourite shows. It is best not to give them sweets or anything that is not 100% natural. Keep in mind the sort of things that would be in a horses diet in the wild. Also, horses cannot vomit, so you could be in big trouble in the animal does have an allergy. You will find that a horse will enjoy a carrot or apple just as much as sweets, and you will know that you are doing the right thing without having to worry. Horses have very sensitive stomachs. Don't ever give them meat either, i only mention that because someone once tried to feed meat to my horse!

I wouldn't think so - Unless the specific horse was allergic to the gum or the sugar.

This may relate to teh old days when some gelatine for glues and foods were derived from horse hooves, and thus jelly candy could trigger anaphylactic shock in horses, but that was years ago and gelatine is mostly cattle or plant derived now.

I wouldnt give any horse sweets, as ive seen a horse choke because they couldnt chew it properly. And as some else said, theyre digestive systems arent able to cope with artificial things like jelly beans!

i wouldn't give a horse sweets. the chemicals in their digestive system are made to digest grass and plants, not processed sugar.

you probably mean well, but if you love your horse, don't risk it.

dogs can go blind w/excess sugar - the sorbitol will cloud the lens of their eyes.

sure if they will eat it give it to them, i have a horse she its anything, drinks pop. had a drink of beer, she gets cakes on her b-day. you will know if they like it or not. i dont see anything wrong with giving it to them, nothing is ever wrong with mine.
