The American occupation in Iraq?
I am genuinely lost.... I see something wrong here. In trying to 'right' the wrongs that one country has faced and seen in its life, it has succeeded in not bettering, but making worse its situation.
I do want to find out... whether the US government, and those who support it (eg. UK), realize and SEE the damage they are creating? Maybe strife would have existed in any country with a political vacuum, but this American occupation in Iraq... why occupy when you're not doing any good? And if you're gonna lead and do good, why lie and say so when you have no intentions to?
Sorry, I'm lost, because the whole international community has to do something about it too, right?
Enlighten me, those with genuine views.
Reason I'm asking is - though the country was bad during Saddam's rule, it is worse now after war. Why is there so much political/religious strife, and people fear for their lives every single day, not knowing if they'll be alive because of such divisive factions. If you invaded a country, and hoped to establish a new government/peace, wouldn't you ensure its security??
True, perhaps they can't leave now, with the mess they've created. But where is the good they're doing? Where's the solution?

I knew it was going to be a mess before we went in there. The problem is politics. If we leave now it will strengthen the resolve of terrorists. It's psychological warfare, and unfortunately the weapons used are human lives. Its a no win situation. We have to find the lesser of two evils and run with it. I personally feel we have, but I feel we could be doing more to prepare the Iraqis to take care of their own.

the 'middle east & s. america are the only mass reserves of oil left. whoever controls these reserves controls the worlds' ability to move & produce. look around the room at all the things that are pertolium based. its not really about oil but power. the keys are ieaq, iran & afghanistan. uzbekistan, turkmenistan, azerbaijan, armenia, turkey, syria, jordan & lebanon(we're already cool with saudi, israel, oman, yemen & kuwait) have no choice to join an arab union rulled by the house of saud, isreal & influence by the un (usa & uk). russia cant make a move in its state (for now) & china never jumps off alone.
it could all go wrong is the uae & saudi arabias money finances a military comprised of iranian, uzbekistan, azerbaijani, armenians, turks, syrians, jordanians, lebanese, & fighters from saudi, oman, yemen & maybe egypt. the weapons will come from china & russia pulling russia out of depression back into a power position & pulls india in on chinas behalf. pakistan might take that opportunity to attack india leading to nuclear war in the region.
seems George Washington's warning about 'entangling alliances' is in order. http://usinfo.state.gov/usa/infousa/facts/democrac...

Weasel sure read you alot of bull-poo didn't he. The Arab nations are never going allow America to be a part of their Arab union. It's a Union for Christ sakes. Republicans don't like unions, and the oppose them. The bottom line is, it's about who runs the oil resources. America has made the Arabs filthy rich and they are educated now to boot. They don't owe us anything, and they have a right to their religion, it's older then Christianity, and we are not going to change their minds about it. These people really just want to be left alone. I am all for that myself.

i imagine we are able to pull out in 2009 even if the "pastime" is executed or no longer because i imagine we are able to have a Democratic President in workplace. i imagine maximum folk of Iraq's inhabitants appreciates what we try to do over there yet this truth is "performed" down through the liberal media who needs to furnish the effect that each and every thing is going to hell over there, for this reason making the Republican President look undesirable. even if it truly is, i won't be able to say because i'm no longer over there to witness issues firsthand and that i try no longer to be persuaded through reviews and propaganda. through the way, I evaluate myself an self sustaining and check out to work out the sturdy to boot because the undesirable in each and every candidate. each and every so often it problematical...
