2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoPGCE vs. PGCert Secondary Education?
I applied to start a PGCE in Secondary Education this September. However, after I got accepted onto a course, I noticed that its title is PGCERT in Secondary Education, and specifically NOT a PGCE. I've searched on the internet, had a look on the TDA website, why trawled through previous YahooAnswers questions even... but still haven't managed to find out the difference between the two (except maybe contact the uni in question, duh!).
The course I'll be doing will entitle me to 'M' (masters) level credits, which I can transfer later on if I wanted to do a Masters. I also gain QTS status. But how does it differ from a PGCE..? Anyone out there who is able to enlighten me, am graciously accepting answers....
2 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education1 decade agoTrying for a baby, and losing hope...?
I'm 24, and have been married for a year and 8 months. My husband and I decided to postpone having a baby for a year. And then we were apart in different countries for the next 5 months. We're now together, but I still haven't fallen pregnant. For some months, my period has been irregular. I know, nothing is a cause for concern until we have been trying for at least 6 months, and things take time. But with each passing month that I get my period (3 months so far), I grow hopeful and then dejected as tests come out negative and periods come and go. Cousins and friends I know have all got children by now, and those who are much younger than me (my sister included). It's something i've discussed with my husband, but says our time will come. I feel sad... like some kind of false hope i carry... I'm young. I married young. But why am i not normal to fall pregnant soon? Sometimes I blame myself I have been too preoccupied with studies/career minded that I am denied a baby now.
27 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoWhat do you all think of death?
My uncle,(mom's brother), passed away some 2 weeks ago from blood cancer. He was only 39, and has 3 young children. Probably some of you have lost loved ones as well. What is a life? What is death?
Life just ceases. And you think of that life. What does death bring?
Please share your answers in a thoughtful, sympathetic way. Would appreciate if people don't preach. I'm muslim, and know full well of God and his plans. Speak as to a fellow human.

Paintings sell for more. The exact likeness can be captured with a camera, but renditions in paintings have more value. Why?
10 AnswersOther - Visual Arts2 decades agoMore stars in the entire universe than all the grains of sand on all the beaches in the world??
I was discussing this 'fact' I read years ago from a book by Carl Sagan with my husband, and he simply could not believe there are that many stars out there. Can anybody englighten me as to the general perspective concerning the words-cannot-describe-humungous universe of ours - considering in itself the gigantic size of stars, the number of stars in our own galaxy (how many?) and the number of galaxies within the universe....
I would appreciate links and especially good books to read that may be of use. (plus your own knowledge) Thanks.

Prior to where you are working now, what are the stages you went through to become a journalist? What kind of assignments did you undertake, and what work did you do?
I just want to know what potential employers are looking for. It's a very competitive environment.

7 AnswersOther - Arts & Humanities2 decades agoNeed a little help here - what is 'communications'?
In a job description, it says experience in 'communications'. Now, i'm not so sure what this means. What sector(s) constitute as 'communications'? Is it restricted to producing literary things, such as websites, pamphlets? Or more....?
2 AnswersCareers & Employment2 decades agoThe American occupation in Iraq?
I am genuinely lost.... I see something wrong here. In trying to 'right' the wrongs that one country has faced and seen in its life, it has succeeded in not bettering, but making worse its situation.
I do want to find out... whether the US government, and those who support it (eg. UK), realize and SEE the damage they are creating? Maybe strife would have existed in any country with a political vacuum, but this American occupation in Iraq... why occupy when you're not doing any good? And if you're gonna lead and do good, why lie and say so when you have no intentions to?
Sorry, I'm lost, because the whole international community has to do something about it too, right?
Enlighten me, those with genuine views.

19 AnswersOther - Society & Culture2 decades agoLate period - infertile or pregnant?
I've always had irregular periods. I got married a year ago, and it's still fluctuating but to date I'm not pregnant. Its now been 3 months since my last period. I had a pregnancy test a month ago, which came negative. How will I know, biologically, if I've gotten pregnant? Is there possibilities of conceiving, and then accidentally having an abortion due to intense work or stress? Is it possible too, to miss periods for 2 months, and then just in the 3rd, when I'm ovulating, to conceive? Sorry to be confusing, but I'm desperate to be enlightened!
