I have a pain in my lower abdomen (just slightly up from my hip)on the left side. What could be causing this?

If you are sexually active, this could be a sign of a STD that is out of control. Make sure you go to the doctor and have a pelvic exam. You could have pelvic inflammatory disease, or infection of one of your female organs. Or it could be a tubular pregnancy,appendicitis. Many things. Just go to the doctor.

hey i have the same thing i have a really sharp pain in my lower left side right above the hip. it sometimes shoots across my stomach to the point i have to collapse and roll up into a ball. i was in the hospital twice due to this and after almost 3 1/2 months they still dont know what can be causeing all the pain so ggod luck on getting better

Appendicitis, ovulation, constipation, gas, pregnant??? Could be lots of things. If you are worried, go see a doctor and get checked out.

Could be anything, consult your physician as soon as you can if the pain is not going away.
