Is it true that free masons seek powers from lucifer?

LOL...I'm afraid thats not the case. Actually, any 3rd degree Mason (which takes only about 3 months to obtain) can become a 32nd degree Mason by joining the Scottish Rite. It usually takes one day to go from 3rd degree to 32nd degree. So, that rules out the idea that degrees up to the 32nd degree contain anything that shocking. And the 33rd degree is actually a meritorious service award given to 32nd degree Masons who have spent a great deal of time, and energy asissting in the Scottish Rite functions. No actual "new secrets" are conferred in that degree. It is an award ceremony. And what Mason powers do you refer to? Are we supposed to be able to fly or jump over buildings or something? We are simply men of high moral character who joined the fraternity to be associated with like-minded men. Sorry to burst the bubble, but the only secrets in Masonry are the passwords, grips and signs that we use to identify ourselves to other Masons, just like any college fraternity and sorority has. Also we dont discuss the specifics of our ceremonies. Thats about it. If you choose not to believe me, you will find no shortage of places on the internet where you can be fed evidence to the contrary, some twisted, some misrepresented, and some which are outright lies. In the end, you either have to find out for yourself, by honestly wanting to be a Mason, or just choose which you want to believe. Or you could always just choose to not worry about it.

No the free masons believe in God. From my understanding that have to believe in God or at least a higher being to even join. But as I said I am not sure as I am not a member. Here a few links that may help you out.

Well, I'm a Freemason and a Methodist....don't think that my pastor would care for it much if I invoked dark powers. Freemasons worship whichever God their religion dictates (I'm a Holy Trinity kind of guy, whereas, a Muslim would worship Allah, and so forth). We are also taught to worship our own personal Volume of Sacred Law (Bible for me) from pretty much day one.

Basically, the theory of Masons being taught to worship the devil is ludicrous.

How is a pentagram shaped like the devil himself? Besides, the pentagram is often misused and misunderstood as belonging to "devil worship." And it's Al Qaeda, just so you look like little less of an idiot in the future.
