The Cubans that do make it here are glad to become Americans. One difference between the Cubans and Mexicans is that the Cubans are separated from their homeland by the US embargo on Cuba. This means that they cannot go back and forth to their homeland at anytime. The Mexican problem is different. They can cross the border back into their homeland with ease. This doesn't force the Mexican to give up their old life and become an true American. Their loyalties are divided between Mexico and the United States.
