who is focusing all of our attention to hr4437 shouldn't there be more about abramoff? how many of our elected officals involved? how many votes did this man influence on be have of big money lobbists?
he was just sentenced to 6 yrs for his role in the murder of a florida man. he is currently out on bail to help build a case agianst corrupt members of congress.

I don't think it is a smoke screen, I do think that Abrmoff will shed light on who is on the take, I just wonder if it will come out before the next election. I sure hope it does.

No, the topic of illegal immigration has been on the table for years, prior to Abramoff and prior to even 9/11. It just happens to have finally come up on the agenda and received a strong push, so it is making news.
Unfortunately, I think almost every member of Congress was involved. Not all were involved with Abramoff, but look at lobbying websites. Look at what Senators opposed tort reform, then look at how much money they got from the ABA, for example.
Abramoff was not convicted of murder, so I don't even understand where you get that from.

Well I can say that the Republicans Anxiety level should be getting a little higher, since he has gone to talk with the prosecutors, and is snitching on his own party during election time. I'm sure there is something to it, and I'm sure he is spilling the beans on them. Could be more Dead EYE Dick Cheney involvement that's what I fear.
