What is the best way to differentiate between identical twins?

Can anyone suggest what is the most distinctive line in identical twins that you can spot easily. Is it the voice, face....?

Their personality is probably different so the way they act will show the differences between them. Their faces and voices are also giveaways but usually you just have to be around them then after a while you will be able to tell.

Identical twins may have the same face, body, etc....but that does not mean you have to dress them exactly the same. Give them personalities. Give on a short hair cut and give the other a bowl cut. Let them express themselves and you'll see that although they look the same, they are two very different people.

Source(s): My mom used to dress my sister and I the same. Although we had a one-year difference, people ALWAYS asked, "are you guys twins??" I HATED THAT. (And dressing the same ticked me off too.)

I know two sets of indentical twins and to be honest, it's the scars and personalities that is the only way i can sometimes tell the difference. Also sometimes they may have a different hair cut, but cos they're both two boy twins i think it makes it harder to tell the diference.

My identical twin nephews have, over the years, learnt how to differentiate themselves from each other in subtle but effective ways - Christy by growing and Anekin Skywalker-style ponytail, for example.

But as they've grown up, differences have emerged anyway. Danny has a bigger frame than Christy. Christy has cultivated a broader local accent, I think, than his brother, who sounds 'posher'. Danny has a bigger head and a different hairline to Christy.

Anyway, if you get it wrong, they always gently remind you!

Identical twins are essentally clones of eachother. They came from the same egg and were fertilized by the same sperm. Their genetic make up is the same..even a DNA test can't distinguish between them.

    Only way is by personality

    my sisters are identical twins.

one is a tiny bit thinner than the other.

u can also differenate between the voice, birth marks..etc.

also favourites, you see, one always ties her hair the other doesn't and always has a watch on!!
