If Jesus came into your church totally in disguise, what would he see as worship?
He comes in looking just like your neighbor would at church, not like the traditional images of him.

Sinners who He has called to Himself and saved who seek to worship only as He has taught in His word. Not perfectly but acceptable to God because Jesus Himself intercedes on our behalf.
Source(s): John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. - thaliaxLv 62 decades ago
He might be a bit confused by all the pageantry of the service. But more importantly, He might also wonder why we're all sitting there in the first place, instead of out feeding the poor and helping the homeless. The cost of the pipe organ alone could probably go a long way toward providing shelter for a needy family. He would probably shake us up by suggesting that we sell off the gold crucifixes, expensive altar coverings, candleholders and other "worship aids" and donate the money to those less fortunate than ourselves.

I'll tell you what he would NOT see first:
He would NOT see idol worship in the form of crosses all over the place or little figures of himself on a cross.
He would NOT see a paid clergy member leading the whole congregation.
He would NOT see people living grossly immmoral lifestyles, such as homosexuality, as welcomed into the congregation (unless they're just learning the truth and have had no real prior knowledge of God's standards on such things).
He would NOT see (or hear) such false teachings as the trinity, hellfire, the immortality of the soul, and so forth being taught.
What Jesus WOULD see is:
Everyone in attendance having a share in the congregation meetings, using their Bibles to follow along with the information being presented.
Everyone freely using God's personal name, Jehovah, in pure worship to him.
Everyone showing true love for fellow neighbor as indicated by absolutely no racial prejudice or segregation in the congregation.

Well first of all, He wouldn't need to come in disguise, He can see us from Heaven. He would see a lively spirit filled church.

He would not see a building full of people concerned with who is wearing what and how much the offering should be and who brought who to church and who isn't there.. AGAIN.. rather, he would see someone who holds a deep and abiding faith no matter where she is..day and night. Someone who KNOWS that she is loved unconditionally and held in the hands of the Father.

he may at times say, Im not deaf, i can hear you, lol. but i think he would be very flattered and feel very loved at the energy praise and love we exude on him in our worship, its really powerful.
oh and i must add in reference to a few other answers, he would see the collection plate alright, full!
Full of the gifts that we recieve from Him in the first place, His money ! given back in hope and faith, and knowing. A symbol of great trust, and giving hearts, monies; being used to share the love and spread the joy. Man cant live on bread alone.

Well, let's see what He would see.
1. Jesus would see Catholics having sex with young boys.
2. Jesus would see lots of hungry, cold children, yet, huge multi-million dollar churches and christians driving up in Mercedes and Jaguars with license plates which read "faith". (I've seen it)
3. Jesus would see christians beating their children.
4. Jesus would see christians waging brutal war wtih others of different beliefs.
5. Jesus would see TV Evangelists who can "heal" but, apparently only on TV. Benny Hinn of TBN, you phony moron, if you can "heal" then why don't you travel from hospital to hospital worldwide and heal those innocent children! Because you can't! You are a phony and anyone who gives you money is an idiot! Pure, 100%, unadulterated idiot.
6. Jesus would see hope, "in the name of Jesus", being literally sold to vulnerable people.
7. Jesus would see the epitomy of hypocrisy as people who "believe" in God, do everything opposite of what he says to do, or not do. Bible in one hand, cigarrette in the other. Bible in one hand, and hate for their fellow man in the other. Bible in one hand and a stick they just beat their children with, in the other. Bible in one hand with the other hand stuffing their face with food, while the child across the street goes hungry.
8. Jesus would see fat, greedy people, who chant "God Bless America". Did you catch it? God is "omnipotent", and his blessings are endless right? So, why don't we say "God Bless The World", instead? This statement is the proof of American christian greed. Not only do we demand the world give us all it can, but, we want God to give it all to us too. If God blessed the World, would it be a better place?
Then, why don't we ask him to.

It is not only Jesus Christ, but any God of any religion coming in disguise to the respective/corresponding prayer congregation, will hang his head in shame, because of the difference between what is preaced and what is practised by human beings!!!!

Well, I don't think that you can ever be sure. I mean, you know about YOUR spiritual life, but how can you truly know what someone else's is REALLY like? You can't. So you can't really know what he would see, be cause you don't truly know all of the people in the church.

He would think ....whats written in bible ...did he say ???.... or he would say when did he told people to worship him......
He would come again ..surely .... and when all of the christians go to him..he would say i dont know you ..go away ........so surely he wouldnt encourage the current concept of christianity..
