Running/walking a mile. How long does it take you?

For a fitness class we were required to run/walk a mile as fast as we could. It took me 14min.32sec. to do a mile the fastest time was 6min.28sec. Im 28 the fastest guy was 20.

    It takes me four minutes and fifty-four seconds to run a mile. I am fourteen years old and will be turning fifteen in May.

    Well it takes me 15 minutes to run 2 1/2 miles so one would be like 8 so 1/4 wuld be maybe some where around 2 minutes

    It took me about between 6-8 min to run a mile

    I takes me between 7 and 9 minutes to run a mile. But im 13 and in 8th grade.

    Before I went to college and put on some weight I was doing a 5k in 24 minutes. Around an 8 minute mile.

    40 pounds later, I am at a 10 minute mile. :(

    well, i might be only 12 but the thing is that we had a MS walk 2day at school and you see i ran 4 miles in 1 hour 10 minutes it takes me at least 8 min. 55 sec. to run 1 mile but it may be easier for me becasue i'm younger but for a guy your age you should push yourself each week to have a goal set and if you exceed that goal you try and go faster each time you run but if you fail that goal you work at the time. Then if you ask your fitness instructor if maybe he/she could set a time limit and if you don't make it in the limit then you basiclly say oh well, failed i'll try better next time. But this should help so....

    I run/jog three miles a day,and it takes me around 45 minutes to finish, a little less when other runners are running which makes me pick up the pace to keep up

    my fastest mile time is 6 min 5.5 sec in a cross country meet. and sorry but no affence but i am in 8th grade and w/ a time of 14 min i'd get kicked off the team...=( my fastest walking is probably somewhwer from 20-25 min

    5:40 but i run track...sprinter not distance runner though.
