Is it okay to exercise before going to bed? I heard it induces nightmares or something like that...?

Exercise speeds up the heart rate and triggers endorphins in your brain, as well as adrenaline. Exercise before bed can result in insomnia. It may not be medically unhealthy to exercise before bed, but it would be much wiser to exercise in the morning so that your body is prepared for the day.

I think it is fine to exercise in the evening. I work-out between 4:00-6:00 pm. and I sleep GREAT at night with no nighmares or anything.

You would think it would make you more likely to sleep, having exerted some energy, and needing rest. But actually, if it is cardiovascular, you raise your adrenaline levels, and it may take longer to actally fall asleep.

Not a big deal - but if you want to sleep, finish your exercise routine a few hours before.

that is basically a foul thought in case you have worry falling asleep afterwards. that is particularly contradictory to exercising, which motives enhance heart fee and metabolism, purely earlier mattress, that's a time while your heart fee and metabolism are meant to decelerate, yet there is no longer something dangerous or undesirable approximately it except it retains you unsleeping at night.
