Tattoo Question for those with Tattoo's/or are Tattoo Artists?
I want to get a tattoo, but i have a couple of questions for those who have a tattoo or are tattoo artists.
1- I work out alot, im affraid that if i get a tattoo, will there be a chance that the tattoo will stretch if my arms get bigger?
2-I want a tattoo thats black, and i want it to stay black and not fade away, will it fade away?
3-i sometimes bruise easily, if i get it, my arm might bruise, im affraid that the bruises wont go away(lol you can laugh at me)
If someone can please help me out, it will be really appreciated.

i'm a tattoo artist, so here goes. unless you take steroids, you won't have a problem with distortion. the only time a tattoo will really stretch or distort is if you get stretch marks. so like i said, unless you take steroids, you won't stretch it.
as far as a tattoo fading, you must limit your exposure to the sun or use a high spf (50 or so) sunscreen. nothing will fade out your tattoo faster than the sun or tanning beds. tattoos do generally fade out over time. if you take really good care of them, you shouldn't need a retouch for another 20 years or so.
if you do bruise from the tattoo process, it will go away. it's a rare occurence, even for people who bruise easily.
one more thing, if you have any more questions, consult a tattoo artist and not someone who has just received a tattoo. alot of people think they know everything about the tattoo process because they have gotten a tattoo. it's really not the case. there are alot of myths that are spread about tattoing because of people making guesses and assuming they know things just because they've been tattooed. i even see wrong answers about your question. so go see an artist. enjoy and good luck.

No where reputable. Wait until you are 18. If you get tattooed by an amature, you could get hepititus, HIV, a staff infection, scarred or a just plain ugly tattoo. I have a full back piece, both upper arms to my shoulders, one on my thigh bone and one on my calf. I get many questions about tattoos because I have so many and the first thing I tell people is to pick a design, and wait at least 6 months, preferably a year. If after that time, you still want that tattoo. Get it and be proud of it. If not, than you saved yourself a lifetime of regret. Also remember that a good tattoo is not cheap, and a cheap tattoo is not good. I learned this lesson when I was 19 and had a cheap tattoo put on my back. It came out with crooked lines and crappy color, and I ended up having to have it covered and that ended up turning into a full back piece. I do not regret my tattoos but I would have forgone that one if I could do it all over again. Next, if you are a woman. Remember that as women mature and have kids their bodies change. If you get a tattoo make sure you get it in an area that will not stretch like the breasts, belly, or thighs. You don't want your little Nemo looking like a whale in a few years. Food for thought....Hope this helps

1. Working out won't bother your tat. As if you were gaining or loosing weight. It depends on how you big you get and will you stay that way?
2. You have to make sure that your black tat is done by someone with a light hand, and good at fine line tattooing. Why? Because the deeper the artist goes the more the tat will spread under the skin and fade to almost a blue hue.
3. If you bruise easily, you will bruise with a tat. That is a given. It will go away though. Don't worry.
4. Do alot of research on the person you will have doing your tat. Make alot of trips to see their operation, talk to a few of their customers.
Good luck!!!!

I have a tattoo and it's tribal (all black) and yes, it did fade out just a little bit, but it still retains most of its density and looks pretty good. I lift weights all the time and that hasn't been an issue. The tattoo is on my forearm, so it pretty much conforms to the arm without separation. I have had the tattoo for (13) years.

1)tattoo will stretch relative to how massive you build up yourself,so when
you design or pick a tat flash, take that into considration,so that it will still look good no matter what
2)tattoos do fade somewhat,so you either live with it or get it touched up
as necessary
3)life be full o' bruises-when I wrench on my Harley chopper I get all kinds
of scrapes, cuts etc. on my arms, which are almost full sleeves now:that
means they are almost entirely covered-its not that big a problem...
tattoos are an authentic art medium, but they be on your flesh, thus last forever
s't'speak, therefore,be extremely selective of tattoo artist & your tattoos

I Am also a tattoo artist and im with punkrocker. BUT you cant work out or you at least shouldnt work out for 2 weeks after your tattoo. Fadeing happens only with the sun or with crap ink. Use a tattoo healing cream for best and faster healing (like Ink fixx, tat wax, or tattoo Goo)

I have a black tattoo. Over time, the black ink will fade to greenish black. The best defense against fading is putting super-sunblock on it all the time. Also, be sure you want it...
I got mine at age 23, I'm now 33, and wish I never got it. It's not lame, its just there forevr now.

Tattoos do hurt slightly I have one on my back. But I have seen people that went from skinny with a tattoo then went chuncky and yes that tattoo stretched with the fat. And the color does not fade.

1.) Not sure.
2.) All tat's fade. Though limiting exposure to sunlight helps.
3.) Not sure about that one.
