I'm getting pop-ups from the lower right hand corner of my screen.?

Something new is happening when I log onto the internet. I get pop-ups from the right hand lower corner and they are begining to p---s me off. How do I get rid of these, I have a blocker, but not for these new popups. Can anyone help?

Update:

They do not inform me that there is a virus, if I go onto a website and look then from the corner pops up something from another site that seems to be connected to the one I am looking at. I was looking at vehicles and popups from other site took over. I finally gave up and closed everything.

Update 2:

I have found out what this thing is it is called 'Zango' I have deleted it and still it seems to grab my computer.

Update 3:

This Zango is an adware, have no idea where it came from but it went from 0 to 187 in a matter of hours. It really tried to comsume my computer. So I up graded my protection. Thankyou all.

what kind of pop up blocker do you have? you might have to re-download a pop up blocker. You might want to start doing that every month, updating it. bcuz new pop ups get through the old pop up blockers...

What do they say? Are they telling you that you have a virus or other nasty and to click there to get rid of them? - DO NOT CLICK ON IT! This makes the problem worse. I had this and it was a virus, well a trojan adware thing. It took me a whole day to track it down and remove it using Yahoo Anti-Spy, SpyBot, Lavasoft Ad-Aware, Norton AV and a lot of Safe Mode & regedit work. Get rid of things like SpySheriff or BugDoctor, or whatever else you may have been asked to get. Were you trying to download dodgy things?

It might not be as simple as removing it. They leave things behind in your registry. Do a search online and find out more about how and where it puts stuff on your PC.

Removal tools: List of products that detect/remove/protect against Zango:

    X-Cleaner

    RegBlock

    RTGuardian

Category Description: Adware: Program that creates advertisments on your Pc.

    Manual removal

Please follow the instructions below if you would like to remove Zango Search Assistant manually. Please notice that you must follow the instructions very carefully and delete everything that is mentioned. In most cases the removal will fail if one single item is not deleted. If Zango Search Assistant remains on your system after stepping through the removal instructions, please double-check by stepping through them again.

Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run. (The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)

    Browse to the key:

    'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run'

In the right pane, delete the value called 'zango', if it exists.

    Exit the registry editor.

    Restart your computer.

    Start Windows Explorer and delete:

    %ProgramsDir%\Zango\

    %WinDir%\Downloaded Program Files\ZangoInstaller.dll

    %WinDir%\Downloaded Program Files\ZangoInstaller.inf

    %WinDir%\Downloaded Program Files\ZangoLib.dll

Note: %ProgramsDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Program Files.

    Note: %WinDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Windows (Windows 95/98/Me/XP) or C:\WINNT (Windows NT/2000).
