Why do women always want a guy that makes the laugh?

Because laughter makes you feel good, so someone who makes you laugh too. We need humor in our life, not just looks, brains, money or sex.

Who wouldn't want to laugh? Life is hard, and the world we live in doesn't make it any easier. Girls have a lot of expectations to live up to, and a very narrow margin of error they can have. It's not easy being under a microscope all the time and no matter what a girl does, someone somewhere is probably thinking of her in a bad way. But laughter helps us cope. It brightens our day, and our faces. It's lovely to laugh. They say laughter is the best medicine, and it's nice to find a guy who'll do that for a girl, especially since most of the other people in her life might be trying to do the opposite(especially men).

Guys like girls that can laugh too. Who doesn't like a good laugh. Men that can make women laugh and vice versa are great to be around and it shows that they have a good sense of humor and that they know how to lighten up.

I was married to a guy that was abusive, on top of all that he found very few things to be funny and it indicated pure misery.

I don't want to be around someone that does not have a good sense of humor or who does not know how to laugh or make me laugh

"I want a Man that's confident, socially aware, and perceptive to my body and mind. He has to be so in-tune with his surroundings that he can make observational humor and make me feel good about myself and my surroundings.

On top of this, he has to make me feel safe and protected, and take the weight of our relationship off my shoulders, so I can feel free to be the Woman I want to be, and enjoy our time together. Smiling."

I think that women say this because then they may feel more comfortable with the man they're with. Laughing makes people feel more at ease. Otherwise, they think that they may not have anything to talk about.

It provides me some good entertainment value :-) And laughing is good for your health...I think it works best when both people in the relationship make each other laugh.

An open sense of humor says "I'm not boring, you can talk to me without the risk of being lulled to sleep by my stupid droning" women like to talk to guys who will not only listen and respond, but bring some of their own caracter, thier own self, into the conversation as well

People that tell good jokes are fun to be around, it's when the jokes become demeaning that there are problems... *here's a tip, don't make fun of her messed up hair if she's sensative about it, no matter how funny it is to you, it might just hurt her feelings...good luck wit dat!

Its more exciting. When a person makes you laugh it breaks the shyness barrier, makes a relationship closer and helps to form other conversation.

Every woman needs a guy to make her laugh. You don't want to be around someone who's boring or someone that you're always arguing with.

Humor's a good thing to have. If you can't make little jokes on a day to day basis, how fun are you going to be in 20 years from now?
